Who We Are

IPL Cricket Predictions is an independent cricket analytics publication founded in 2022. We cover the Indian Premier League with a focus on match previews, team analysis, player performance breakdowns, and data-driven predictions. Our editorial team consists of cricket journalists and analysts who have collectively watched and analyzed over 1,200 IPL matches since the tournament's inception in 2008.

We are not affiliated with the BCCI, any IPL franchise, or any betting operator. Our analysis is independent, our opinions are our own, and our data comes from publicly verifiable sources. We exist because we believe cricket fans deserve better analysis than generic "both teams are strong" previews.

Our Team

Rahul Sharma — Lead Cricket Analyst. Covers IPL cricket since 2016. Former contributor to CricBuzz and ESPNcricinfo. Specialises in match analysis, pitch reports, and T20 batting matchups. Has watched and analyzed over 400 IPL matches live. Covers all 10 IPL teams with particular focus on spin bowling dynamics and middle-over strategies.

Editorial Policy

Every article published on IPL Cricket Predictions follows a strict editorial process:

Data Sources: All statistics are sourced from ESPNcricinfo, IPLT20.com, and CricBuzz. We cross-reference numbers across at least two sources before publishing. Ball-by-ball data comes from ESPNcricinfo's ball-by-ball commentary archives. Pitch reports are based on historical venue data from the last 3 IPL seasons (2024-2026) plus observation from broadcast footage.

Fact-Checking: Player names, team compositions, match dates, and venue details are verified against official BCCI/IPL announcements before publication. Squad lists are updated within 24 hours of any official team changes. If we publish incorrect information, we correct it immediately with a visible correction note.

Predictions Methodology: Our match predictions are generated using a weighted model that factors: current season form (40%), head-to-head record at specific venue (25%), pitch and weather conditions (20%), and toss impact at venue (15%). We publish our prediction probability alongside every prediction — we never say "Team X will definitely win." All predictions include the caveat that T20 cricket is inherently unpredictable.

Betting Content: Where our content references betting odds or predictions, we do so in the context of sports analysis — not as financial advice. We do not guarantee outcomes. We do not encourage anyone to gamble beyond their means. All betting references are accompanied by responsible gambling notices. We comply with applicable advertising regulations for sports betting content in India.

Independence: IPL Cricket Predictions does not accept payment from IPL franchises, player agents, or cricket boards for editorial coverage. Content Update Schedule

Match preview articles are published 24-48 hours before each match. Team pages are updated weekly during the IPL season. The points table is updated within 2 hours of each match result. Player statistics are refreshed after every match day.
